Setting up your VvE in Buur

How to set up your VvE in Buur step by step: from finding your building to inviting the other owners.

Buur is not live yet. This guide describes how it works at launch. Details in the app may still change.

Setting up a VvE in Buur takes a few steps. You don't have to finish everything at once: you can always continue where you left off.

Step 1: create an account

You start with an account in your own name. The person who creates the VvE is usually a board member or an owner who takes the initiative. You can give board roles to others later.

Step 2: find your VvE or building

You look up your building by its address. If your VvE is already registered with the KvK (Chamber of Commerce), you can add those details. Is your VvE not registered, or has it been dormant for years? You can still start.

Step 3: upload the deed of division

The splitsingsakte (deed of division) is the foundation of your VvE. Ben, Buur's AI assistant, reads the deed for you and suggests the apartments, shares (breukdelen) and votes. You check and confirm every value.

Step 4: check apartments and shares

Check that all apartments are correct and that the shares add up to the total in the deed. You can adjust everything by hand.

Step 5: invite the owners

Invite the other owners by email and give board roles to the right people.

Step 6: work through the Basis op orde checklist

The checklist shows what is already in place and what still needs attention, such as the KvK registration, the reserve fund and the insurance.

Tip

Start with the deed of division. You can begin without it, but with the deed your apartments and shares are right from the start.
