Annual meeting (jaarvergadering)

The annual meeting is the owners' meeting where, among other things, the annual accounts are presented for approval. Under the Model Regulations 2017 it is held within six months of the financial year end.

The annual meeting is the fixed, yearly owners' meeting. Under the Model Regulations 2017 it is held within six months after the end of the financial year (article 49.1). The financial year there is the calendar year (article 48), so the annual meeting then takes place by the end of June. The meeting can extend that period.

At the annual meeting the board presents the annual accounts for approval and gives an annual report. The meeting then decides on discharging the board (article 49.1). The budget for the current financial year is also adopted at the latest at the annual meeting (article 15.1).

Other usual agenda items are the audit committee's report, the multi-year maintenance plan, the reserve fund contribution and the (re)appointment of the board. Check your own regulations for the periods and obligations that apply to you.
